This is a bit naughty,
really, setting up this booth, 'cos I've nothing new to offer. But
heck it's the 10th Anniversary and I'm not gonna sit around just watching.
Anyway so what is
on my booth? Well all my mods, that I've done ever, now with added "no-patchness",
so none of that download this then go get this then do this and then it will
work, nonsense.
So from now until
the end of QEXPO 2006 I'll be upping my mods with brief descriptions, so
anyone who's missed out on them can grab them, though I realise that'll be
like a really small number of people -

Raptors!
This was my first mod. Ignoring some really, really crap efforts based
on my place of work and people I knew, which was barely appealing to them
let alone anyone else. The mod pitches the player in an extremely
(not now sure why?) dark, deserted disused military base and surrounding
buildings. Something, as usually happens in such situations, has gone
horribly wrong, and viscous raptors are after blood. Yours!
The version of the mod here has .lit patches already part of it, plus
additional background music. In a never before released type scenario, it
also has extended demos.
As well as being my first mod, it also at the time of it's release, could
tenuously claim to be the "first Dreamcast Quake mod" It should be noted
this version is NOT compatible with the dreamcast version.

Raptors Return
Revenge
Raptors Return: the worst named of all my mods, why, oh, why
didn't I call it Raptors Revenge?!!. Really I'm dumb. The mod plays
through 4 maps, 3 reconfigured from Raptors! and one "special". You play as
a raptor (hence the revenge bit) and spend your time killing and eating as
many soldiers as there are on the level - you have to eat them all to
progress, and eating them revives your health. As before this
is all patched up and ready to go.

Bulldog Stadium
Bulldog Stadium was my attempt at doing something a little different.
Instead of fighting and shooting, it's a mod where you have no weapon and
have to negotiate each level, both avoiding damage from the monsters there
within, and getting to the finish as fast as you can.
Each level was situated within a stadium, hence the name (the "bulldog"
bit stems from a playground game where children have to get from one end to
the other, avoiding the "catchers") the innards of which are
different depending on the monsters for each; e.g. knights in a castle.
The mod has a few problems; my mapping and coding are both fairly
clumsy, and it really shows here. The levels are really too short, and there
really is only one route, which makes trying for faster times when you learn
it, fairly pointless.
Anyway ignore my pitiful "bigging-up" of my own mod, and download it
below.

Lunkin's Journey
Lunkin is the mod I'm most proud of. It's so far from perfect; in some
respects it could do with a year of play-testing, a year of refining the
maps and at least an afternoon of re-writing the dialogue. So many things
fell by the wayside during the 3 (on and off) years of making it; proper
(audio!) speech, dramatic army-size battles, multiple sub-games (the race
level was going to be a full on 6-up race) and a lot more.
But I do love it, ignoring all the above. However, I can certainly say I
hated it while making it, especially in the last 2 months leading up to it's
release during the last QEXPO.
What's it about? "The journey of a segregated goblin fighting not only
his own people, but also a variety of monsters through 16 levels over 5
worlds"
This version is fully patched up - no immortal dogs and losing power
after saves....if you're undecided, download the manual (it now comes with
compressed pics and is half the size!) which gives you a longer guide to it.

Lunkin's Christmas Carol: The
Goblin that Stole Christmas
This was my "funniest" mod to make, and fairly simple, even for me. It's a
prequel to Lunkin's Journey, and places the plate as a young, bitter Lunkin
trying to ruin Christmas for all those nasty goblins by stealing their
presents. There's naturally a time limit to get them all in. after which the
soldier goblins will appear and, well, kill you. Get all the gifts before
then, and a very silly reward is yours.
